Sefina Real Estate Platform (“Sefina”, “we”, “us”) operates the website and related inquiry services for real estate in El Gouna and the wider Red Sea area of Egypt. Our office address is Abu Tig Marina Promenade, El Gouna, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt.

2. What this policy covers
It covers personal data processed through our public website, inquiry forms, WhatsApp or phone contact that you initiate using numbers we publish, and our AI concierge chat when you choose to use it. It does not cover third-party sites we may link to (for example developer brochures hosted elsewhere).
3. Data we collect
Depending on how you contact us, we may process:
- Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, preferred language.
- Inquiry content: property interest, budget notes, move-in timing, messages you send.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device category, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, and referral source.
- Cookie and similar technology data, as described in our Cookie Policy.
- Chat inputs you type into the Sefina AI concierge (used to answer public listing and market questions).
We do not ask for passport scans, bank account numbers, or payment card details through the public chat. Do not send those through unsecured channels.
4. Why we use your data
- To respond to property inquiries and arrange viewings or introductions.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website (including fraud and spam prevention).
- To show market information and listing answers through our AI tools.
- To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory duties that apply to us in Egypt and, where relevant, under the EU GDPR when we deal with people in the EEA/UK.
- With your consent, to send follow-up information about listings that match your stated interest.
Legal bases we rely on (where GDPR applies): contract steps you request, our legitimate interests in running a real estate desk, consent where required (for example non-essential cookies), and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We may share data with:
- Our licensed agents and operations staff who handle your file.
- Service providers who host email, infrastructure, analytics, or messaging tools under contract (for example cloud and email delivery vendors).
- Developers, owners, or co-brokers when needed to progress a specific inquiry you opened.
- Authorities when the law requires disclosure.
We do not sell personal data. If a transfer outside your country is needed for hosting or support, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures where required.
6. Retention
Inquiry records are kept for as long as needed to complete the matter and for a reasonable period afterward (typically up to 24 months for inactive leads, longer if a transaction, dispute, or legal hold requires it). Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle. You can ask us to delete or restrict data where the law allows.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR for EEA/UK residents), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Egyptian users may also raise concerns under applicable Egyptian data protection rules.

8. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and least-privilege staff access for inquiry systems. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Please use strong, unique passwords if we ever issue you portal credentials, and report suspicious messages that claim to be from Sefina.
9. Children
Our services are aimed at adults considering property transactions. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
